Help the University Libraries with Usability Testing and Get FREE stuff!!

Help us improve the design and layout of the University Libraries website. The University Libraries have lots of great resources online and want to make sure that students can easily find that information. This is your chance as a UNLV student to help evaluate the current design and voice your opinions on improving the site. This should only take about 50 to 60 minutes of your time.

In exchange for volunteering, you'll earn a FREE FLASH DRIVE or GIFT CERTIFICATE TO THE BOOK AND BEAN.

Sign up online.

If you have any questions about usability testing, please contact Tom Ipri.

PIN now required for access to Ereserves

The University Libraries is expanding the use of the Personal Identification Number (PIN) A PIN is currently required to use the self-checkout machines, to access library resources from the dorms or off-campus, to view your library account and to renew books or place holds online.

Effective Thursday, June 5, 2008, all library users who are eligible to access Electronic Reserves (Ereserves) will be required to enter a PIN number to access these resources. This expanded use of the PIN will further reduce the risk of identity theft and will also help protect the Libraries' online assets.

Setting your PIN is very easy and can be done by following these SELF-SERVICE procedures:
1. Go to: www.library.unlv.edu/ (or use a nearby Express Station if you are in the library)
2. Click on "Your Account" at the top of the page
3. Enter the barcode from the back of your RebelCard ID
4. Click on "Submit"
5. Create a four-character PIN (numbers and/or letters in upper or lower case are all acceptable)

Or select the FULL SERVICE option and ask a staff member at the Circulation Desk to set a PIN for you. Please take a moment now to set up your PIN.
