Three-Day Checkout of Select Feature Films Now Available
Media Resources in Lied Library is now offering three-day checkout on a selection of feature
films. Three-ring binders containing information on
all the titles are located at the Media Resources Desk and the Leisure Reading
area. The titles may also be found by searching our Course Reserves list for
Media Resources three-day feature films checkout under the course name or the
instructor name.

Patrons may check out up to three titles per visit.
The overdue charges are $1 per hour.
The Libraries Media Lab is open and ready for your digital projects.
We house three, high-end multimedia workstations connected to 30"
widescreen displays. Our hardware is set up to allow you to capture and edit
clips from a variety of sources, including CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes and even LP
records.
Stop by the Media Lab in Lied Library on the first floor, room 1201,
during regular library hours. Help is generally available weekdays from 9 a.m.
until 6 p.m.

Springer Protocols Database Now Available
University Libraries patrons now have access to Springer Protocols, a powerful full-text database of thousands of laboratory techniques and procedures - recommended for researchers in the fields of medicine, biological sciences, and biochemistry.
Springer Protocols is available for off-campus use with an active RebelCard. The database can be searched by keyword or browsed by research area.
The purchase of Springer Protocols was made possible by a generous endowment from Thomas and Juanita Greer White.
Test Drive Social Explorer for a Limited Time
Social Explorer provides easy access to demographic information about the United States, from 1790 to present. The subscription edition features over 15,000 interactive data maps and reports from 1790 to present, as well as a full-featured reporting engine that makes demographic research fast and easy.
UNLV Libraries is considering purchasing access to Social Explorer.
