Blackwell Synergy Backfiles</strong>
Over 2.7 million pages and access to 191 journal titles, this backfile collection contains the full-text journal issues going back to the first volume of each journal through 1996.  Includes a broad scope of disciplines covering medicine and health care, sciences, humanities and social sciences.  
<strong>
Elsevier Health Sciences Encyclopedias</strong>
This 15 title collection includes: Encyclopedia of Cancer, Encyclopedia of Endocrine Disease, Encyclopedia of Food Microbiology, Encyclopedia of Food Sciences and Nutrition, Encyclopedia of Forensic and Legal Medicine, Encyclopedia of Forensic Sciences, Encyclopedia of Gastroenterology, Encyclopedia of Genetics, Encyclopedia of Hormones, Encyclopedia of Human Nutrition, Encyclopedia of Immunology, Encyclopedia of the Human Brain, Encyclopedia of Toxicology, Encyclopedia of Virology, Meyler's Side Effects of Drugs.

<strong>Sage Premier Online Journals Deep Backfile Collection</strong>
Sage Deep Backfiles includes perpetual electronic access to the deep backfile of 301 journals, 357,000 issues, and approximately 4,284,000 articles.  The majority of Sage's peer-reviewed scholarly journals are in the subject areas of: business, education, engineering, fine arts, health sciences, hotel, liberal arts, sciences, and urban affairs. Coverage includes back to Volume 1, Issue 1, through the last issue of 1998.  Content from January 1999 to present is included in the Premier subscription.

         <title>Innovation Magazine</title>
         <description><![CDATA[The <a href="http://research.unlv.edu/innovation/toc-2006.htm">Winter 2006 issue</a> of UNLV's Innovation Magazine is available on the web now.  One of the articles is about the researchers in the School of Public Health.  Among the community projects mentioned:

A team headed by Dr. Shawn Gerstenberger is analyzing lead levels in Mexican candy sold locally.  He has received over $ 1.5 million in grants for this research.

Dr. Chad Cross received $ 1 million federal grant to create the Nevada Center for Environmental and Health Surveillance.

Dr. Michelle Chino and Dr. Mary Guinan received a $ 1.2 million grant in 2004 that resulted in the establishment of the <a href="http://chdr.unlv.edu/">Center for Health Disparities Research</a> at UNLV.
