Interactive Spaces
My interest in how people interact with their spaces is centered at the moment around library spaces. On May 18 on the ASL blog I posted a youtube video showing some experiments in that area.

A quick google search for "interactive spaces" turns up additional possibilities. The Interactive Spaces site http://www.interactivespaces.net/ reports on an innovative and temporary project called "Tagging the City" described as "a mobile blogging system based around 2D-barcodes." How can this be applied to libraries? Good question. All suggestions welcome!
Another site, The Irish Scientist, describes use of "ubiquitous computing" to enhance viewer interaction with a museum exhibit. http://www.irishscientist.ie/2004/contents.asp?contentxml=04p110a.xml&contentxsl=is04pages.xsl
Adding the term libraries to the search, you can see that many interactive spaces are aimed at public libraries and children's spaces. But look at this scholarly article titled "Interactional Digital Libraries" from the Journal of Digital Information http://jodi.tamu.edu/Articles/v02/i04/editorial/. The whole issue is on the topic of interaction in digital libraries.
